Share the Warmth – Syracuse Holiday Drive
United Way of Central New York, Community Bank and COR Development Company are collecting donations for community members in need this winter. Donations include new or gently used winter coats in all sizes, along with scarfs, hats, sweatshirts, mittens, gloves and socks. Donations are accepted through Jan. 16 and will be sorted, packed and distributed on Jan. 20 as a part of the 23rd Annual MLK Day of Service.

When: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Let’s Be Engaged: Cocoa and Coffee Kickoff
Warm up with free coffee and hot chocolate in Schine Student Center on Wednesday. This event begins spring semester programming for Let’s Be Engaged.

When: Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Schine Student Center, Atrium
Price: Free



Writing & Vision Boarding Workshop
The Community Folk Art Center is hosting a night dedicated to manifesting aspirations and goals for the new year. The workshop will blend writing, art and visualization exercises and includes a take-home vision board. The event is free and open to the public.

When: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Orange After Dark: Welcome Back Kickback
On Thursday, Orange After Dark will host its first event of the spring semester. Students can come to Schine Student Center to hang out and eat as they adjust to the new semester. Tickets and a Syracuse University ID are required to attend. Tickets are available online at the Student Box Office website.

When: Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 am
Where: Schine Student Center, Atrium
Price: Free for undergraduate students, $2 for graduate students

Orange After Dark: Video Game Tournament
Compete in Friday night’s video game tournament alongside other students. Tickets and a SU ID are required to attend. Tickets are available online at the Student Box Office.

When: Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Where: Schine Student Center, Atrium
Price: Free for undergraduate students, $2 for graduate students

Cross Country Skiing at Drumlins
Students can cross-country ski or snowshoe for free at the Drumlins Country Club on weekends throughout the winter season. All equipment is free with a SU or SUNY ESF ID. All experience levels are welcome. For free transportation, students can make reservations through the Wellness Portal. The trolley will depart from and return to College Place.

When: Saturdays, various times

Destiny USA Blood Drive
Donate blood at Syracuse’s Destiny USA mall with the American Red Cross. The blood drive will take place on the second floor in the space next to Johnny Rockets. Anyone who donates will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

When: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
