Two of the top players in the 2026 class, five-star Ellie Kaplan and four-star Casey Cummings, have committed to Syracuse women’s lacrosse, they announced on social media Sunday evening.

Kaplan, a midfielder from Twin Valley High School in Pennsylvania, is one of 30 five-star recruits in the class, according to Inside Lacrosse. She plays club lacrosse for Big 4 HHH, the same organization SU alumni Delaney Sweitzer and Savannah Sweitzer played for.

Cummings is an attack from Nyack Senior High School (New York). She’s played on the school’s varsity lacrosse team since seventh grade and excels as a left-handed draw specialist. For club, she plays for Prime Time Lacrosse, a team based out of Cross River, New York.

The addition of Kaplan and Cummings brings Kayla Treanor’s 2026 recruiting class to five, joining four-star Maci Mueller and Allison Hankins. It also brings the Orange’s five stars to two, as Kaplan joins the No. 1 goalie in the class, Reagan O’Donovan, who committed on Sept 2.
