University Union announced that PARTYNEXTDOOR will headline Juice Jam 2024 with supporting performances from Maisie Peters and Smino.
For the first time ever, this year’s Juice Jam will be held on Sept. 22 at the JMA Wireless Dome, due to ongoing construction at Skytop. Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m.
A Grammy-nominated Canadian singer, songwriter and producer, PARTYNEXTDOOR has had over 10 R&B and Hip-Hop songs debut at the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He’s written songs for Rihanna, Kanye West and Drake and was the first artist to sign to Drake’s OVO sound imprint. In his fourth studio album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4), the artist wrote, engineered and produced the album.
Peters, a British pop artist, wrote her first song at just 9 years old, leading her to eventually start a YouTube channel with money earned from performing at open mic nights around West Sussex. In 2023, she hit a few major career milestones. She sold out Wembley’s OVO Arena, embarked on her second headline tour in the United States and landed her first U.K. No. 1 album, “The Good Witch,” leading her to become the youngest British female solo artist to earn it since 2014.
Rapper, writer and producer Smino is known for his music experimentation. In 2017, Smino released his first album, “blkswn,” which Rolling Stone named as one of the “40 Best Rap Albums of the Year.” Smino then released his 2018 album, “NØIR,” which got him on year-end lists from The Atlantic.
Juice Jam 2024 tickets will be $20 for Syracuse University and SUNY ESF students with a valid college ID. Tickets can be purchased via the student’s MyCuse account, and will be available to students starting on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Students can purchase a maximum of two tickets. Any guests need to have a valid college ID to enter the JMA Wireless Dome. The JMA Wireless Dome bag policy will be in effect for this event. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office throughout the duration of the event until 9 p.m. on Sept. 23.
