Syracuse midfielder Emma Tyrrell has been selected 12th overall in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited College Draft. Tyrrell is the only SU player to be drafted out of the 16-player class.
In her graduate season with the Orange in 2024, Tyrrell has been a key leader on offense. She’s tallied a career-high in goals (58) and points (76) this season while leading SU to its first Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title and the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Over the course of her five-year career at Syracuse, Tyrrell has totaled 185 goals and 257 total points. She’s earned All-ACC honors in her junior, senior and graduate seasons with the Orange.
Tyrrell becomes the third player in the last two years to be selected to Athletes Unlimited, joining Megan Carney and her sister Meaghan Tyrrell from a year ago. Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse enters its fourth season of existence and runs from July 18 to Aug. 11.
