Former SU forward Rhéa Hicks committed to Clarkson, making the announcement via instagram on Wednesday. Hicks leaves the Orange after one season with the program. She entered the transfer portal along with eight other SU players including Madison Primeau, who recently committed to Robert Morris, a College Hockey America rival.

Hicks joins a strong Clarkson team that finished 29-11-2 and had three victories over Syracuse on Oct. 13, Oct. 14 and Oct. 21. The Knights made the Eastern College Athletic College finals as well as appearing in the NCAA tournament.

Before coming to Syracuse, Hicks was a standout at the U-18 World Championships, winning the title and scoring two goals in the tournament. At Clarkson, Hicks joins her Canadian teammate Sarah Swiderski on the roster.

Hicks was one of the lone underclassmen contributors on a veteran heavy SU team. The forward made the CHA all-freshman team, while finishing top five on the team with 19 points (six goals and 13 assists). Hicks had five multi-point games for the Orange this season, including two goals in a 4-1 win over Lindenwood as well as recording a goal and an assist on November 25 against Post.
