CNY Film Festival

Go back in time with the CNY Film Festival, a partnership between Syracuse University and Le Moyne College’s film programs and the CNY Humanities Corridor. Two famous, historic Italian films — “Rapsodia Satanica” and “Once Upon A Time In America” will be screened on SU’s campus, and there will also be a daylong festival and competition at the Palace Theatre on Saturday.

When/Where: “Rapsodia Satanica” screening is Thursday at 8:15 p.m. at Shemin Auditorium; “Once Upon A Time In America” screening is Friday at 6:15 p.m. at Shemin Auditorium
Cost: Free for Thursday and Friday screenings, $5 for students and $10 for adults for the Saturday showings

Rockin’ the Redhouse benefit concert

The concert will feature bands from nine companies, including Lockheed Martin and Anheuser-Busch. It will raise money to support new educational programming. A panel of esteemed judges will give the bands awards, and an entire gigging set valued at $1,500 will be raffled off.



When: Friday at 7 p.m., doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Landmark Theatre, 362 S. Salina St.
Cost: $10 in advance, $15 at the door

Orange After Dark Trampoline Night

Bounce back into classes with a night of trampolines, dodgeball and a ninja course at Get Air! Trampoline Park. For $3, students will receive a power play card, unlimited video game play, food and transportation.

When: Saturday; buses leave College Place and Goldstein Student Center at 10 p.m.
Where: Get Air! Trampoline Park, 7687 Frontage Road, Cicero
Cost: $3

A cappella concert

The Mandarins, one of two all-women a cappella groups on campus, will host its spring invitational this weekend, performing a set list of hit songs.

When: Saturday at 8 p.m.
Where: Hendricks Chapel
Cost: $2

Light Work zine workshop

Cringe-Worthy Press, an independent zine publisher, will host a two-part workshop at Light Work. Attendees will also have the chance to explore SU’s special collection of zine ephemera.

When: Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Light Work Lab in Watson Hall
Cost: $40 for members, $60 for non-members

Salt City Drag Battle

Nine finalists will take the stage in four rounds of final competition: two different looks, a talent performance and a lip-sync battle. The battle will be hosted by Mrs. Kasha Davis and Darienne Lake from RuPaul’s Drag Race. The crowned Salt City Queen will take home a grand prize of $1,000.

When: Friday at 8 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m.
Where: Syracuse Stage, 820 E. Genesee St.
Cost: $25 for general admission

Colton and Petterelli concert

Donna Colton and Sam Petterelli are an acoustic music duo who will perform contemporary selections. Light refreshments, including coffee, tea and dessert will be served.

When: Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Where: United Church of Fayetteville, 310 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville
Cost: $15 suggested donation
