Syracuse football recently updated its roster. Backups Taylor Hindy (offensive lineman) and PJ Batten (tight end) have left the program. Here’s a list of other changes to the roster.
— Trey Dunkelberger officially switched back to tight end on the roster. The junior was moved over defensive end in the spring because of a need at the position, but went back to practicing at tight end in early August.
— Kyle Kleinberg switched from linebacker to tight end for his sophomore season. He practiced with the latter group during the summer.
— Freshman Kenneth Ruff stayed at defensive line despite, like Kleinberg, practicing as a tight end during camp.

— Moe Neal is still listed as a running back. The freshman shared his time between running back and receiver during camp, but head coach Dino Babers said he is strictly a running back early on. Neal is likely to spend time in the slot as well as the backfield.
— Freshman Scoop Bradshaw took Dontae Strickland’s old number in No. 18 and switched from defensive back to wide receiver. He worked with the receivers during camp.
— Sophomore Jacob Hill‘s position was changed from wide receiver to running back. He spent time with both groups during training camp, but moved to the backfield after being a hybrid in 2015. He walked on to the team as a running back originally and was moved to inside receiver in the spring.
— Freshman Devin Butler was relisted as a running back/wide receiver after practicing at both positions late in training camp.
— Walk-on sophomore Winston Lee, who previously ran track for Syracuse, was relisted as a defensive back. He made the switch in the last week of training camp after starting at running back.
